Great American Coastline
About This Project
It was while on vacation in Maine in 2013 that I turned to my wife, after a brilliant morning of photography, and I said, “I wish I could just keep on shooting, keep on taking photographs and video”. She said well, let’s make that happen. So, after a lot of planning in 2014 we created the project, launched a successful Kickstarter campaign, raising $24,000 and we started The Great American Coastline project. We traveled from San Diego up the coast to Cape Flattery in Washington over a four month period. It exceeded our wildest dreams.
The following year we had a show of my landscapes at the Von Leibig Center in Naples, with an opening night of over four hundred people. Opening night video.
Our Kickstarter supporters all received various rewards such as a coffee table book and a BluRay Vidéage® of the best images and video clips set to music. Here is the Vidéage® on Vimeo: Since then I have been slowly working the East Coast, but time and money have kept the project on the back burner for now.
It is my belief that if I’m able to create awareness of the stunning beauty of this magnificent coastline through exhibitions, publications, and the daily opportunity to share my work and our experiences through social media, then I feel quite certain that people will be more likely to want to preserve the natural beauty that surrounds us all.
